Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Manassas, VA is seeking an operations coordinator to support dispatch of linehaul equipment, oversee DOT compliance, and coordinate service and admin tasks in pickup and delivery.

You will monitor metrics, communicate with independent contractors and ISPs, resolve customer issues, and help maintain driver and vehicle records, with a focus on accuracy and timely execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or a related area preferred.
• Administrative support or dock operations experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills essential.
• Ability to read, interpret and act on numerical data and written information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility reporting metrics related to service, safety, cost and quality daily.
• Coordinate dispatch of linehaul transportation equipment and enter events into the system promptly.
• Investigate customer service complaints and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate management when needed.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance information and ensure DOT compliance for company and vendor equipment.
• Create and maintain files for equipment, insurance, and maintenance documents.
• Assist in driver training classes and support corrective action plans as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
