Job summary

Corning Incorporated in North Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Technician to lead preventative maintenance, troubleshoot processes and repair equipment across manufacturing lines. You will perform routine line changeovers, startups/shutdowns, and collaborate with operations to resolve line issues, monitor output quality, and document activities in CMMS systems such as Maximo.

The role requires an Associate degree or technical certificate and 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience;

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate required; relevant manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads preventative maintenance activities and troubleshoots processes and equipment.
• Performs routine line changeovers (lot changes, arm tooling changes, mold changes).
• Assists operations with line issues, resets, and restarts.
• Executes proper startup/shutdown procedures and verifies equipment status.
• Trains and mentors others within maintenance and operations.
• Document troubleshooting and maintenance in CMMS (e.g., Maximo) and ensure GMP-compliant records.

Education

Associates Degree, Technical Certificate program or equivalent experience
