Job summary

Corning Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician to ensure production and facility equipment run reliably and safely.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, calibrations, and timely repairs, supporting production, engineering, and operations with a strong emphasis on equipment reliability. You will read and interpret technical drawings, follow CMMS workflows, and collaborate with teams to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards across the facility in

Qualifications

• Technical degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or related field or 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship preferred.
• Thorough understanding of machine functions, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance according to schedules.
• Complete maintenance work orders, CMMS entries (Maximo), and checklists.
• Communicate equipment status and maintenance activities to teams.
• Support production and engineering with maintenance and repair needs.
• Assist with specifications for new machinery and upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering on projects as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors for maintenance tasks.
• Procure parts and supplies for maintenance and projects.
• Maintain a safe work environment following safety protocols.
