Job summary

Corning is seeking a maintenance technician in the Durham area to maintain and troubleshoot equipment across our FDA-compliant manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate resources, and support line startups and changes to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires an associate-level degree or technical certificate and at least 6 years of equipment maintenance experience with vision systems and Allen-Bradley PLCs.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
• Experience with FDA-compliant manufacturing environments is expected.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates maintenance resources in support of operational priorities.
• Performs routine line changes and equipment startups/shutdowns.
• Troubleshoots major equipment breakdowns and perform PMs.
• Documents maintenance activities in CMMS and supports engineering.
• Collaborates with QA and Engineering on equipment repairs.
