Belmont Village La Jolla is seeking a dependable Line Cook to prepare and serve meals in our restaurant-style dining program for residents and guests. You will work in a professional commercial kitchen, following recipes, maintaining quality and presentation standards.

Ideal candidates have knife skills, can handle multiple menu items to recipe specs, understand food safety, and deliver hospitality during fast-paced meal service. Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months Line Cook experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.
• Must communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Professional, pleasant and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work assigned shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards.
• Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation.
• Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Follow checklists to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times.
• Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction.
