Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Line Cook to support our senior living community kitchen. You will prepare meals from scratch, follow recipes, manage multiple orders, and maintain kitchen cleanliness, while providing hospitality to residents and guests.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of Line Cook experience in a high-volume setting, be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting.
• Basic culinary skills including knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods.
• Ability to work assigned shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
• Employment offers contingent on background check, drug screen, physical and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipes and quality standards.
• Follow recipes, manage portion control, and ensure attractive plate presentation.
• Properly manage cook times while handling several orders simultaneously.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and order, complying with regulations and procedures.
• Follow checklists and procedures to keep the kitchen stocked and well maintained.
• Make hospitality and resident satisfaction a top priority in every interaction.
