Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in San Diego is seeking a dependable Line Cook to join our restaurant-style dining program. In a professional kitchen you will prepare, plate, and serve high-quality meals for residents and guests, upholding our quality and presentation standards in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have strong knife skills, experience following recipes to spec, knowledge of food safety, and the ability to manage multiple priorities during service while delivering hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months Line Cook experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.
• Basic culinary skills including knife handling, measurements and cooking methods.
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Strong knife skills and recipe adherence.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
• Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation
• Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
• Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times
• Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction
