Job summary

San Pablo Lytton is seeking a line cook to join our kitchen team in a fast-paced casino environment. You will cook and prepare menu items per recipes, follow standards, and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

The role requires standing for long periods, teamwork, and reliable adherence to health and safety guidelines. Two years of kitchen experience and a preference for culinary training are desired.

Qualifications

• English language ability required for verbal and written communication.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a kitchen setting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Push carts up to 250 lbs, lift full pots up to 100 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of hot food preparation and sanitation.
• Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment (stove ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service while following the vision.
• Cook and prepare a variety of menu items per recipe standards.
• Follow recipes to maintain standards and quality.
• Measure and convert recipes without affecting quality.
• Perform assigned kitchen functions such as broiler, sauté, prep and production.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and departmental guidelines.
• Work with culinary leadership to ensure coordinated workflow across the shift.
• Keep stations clean, organized, and well stocked; maintain proper plating and presentation.
• Attend all departmental trainings and meetings as directed.
