Job summary

Eataly Downtown in New York, NY, is seeking a Line Cook to transform high-quality ingredients into authentic Italian dishes in a fast-paced, open-kitchen environment. This role reports to the Chef De Cuisine and involves prep, cooking and plating to exact standards.

You will follow recipes and portion controls, maintain health regulations, and collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional cuisine. Onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a food preparation position.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.
• Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate authentic Italian dishes in a high-volume kitchen.
• Select cuts of meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetables for cooking.
• Plate items with appropriate garnish and presentation.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes and health regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
