Eataly is the world's largest artisanal Italian marketplace in New York, offering high-quality Italian, local and homemade products. We seek a Line Cook to transform ingredients into authentic Italian dishes in our open kitchen, reporting to the Chef De Cuisine.

The role involves precise prep, cooking and plating, standing for long shifts, and working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Eataly provides opportunities to learn through our classes and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a food preparation position.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.
• Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, fries and sautés; maintain temps and quality.
• Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables for frying or sautéing.
• Plates menu items with appropriate garnish.
• Follows recipes, portion sizes, quality standards and health regulations.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
