Job summary

Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking a skilled Cook to join the Tap House kitchen. You will prepare and cook food across stations, following standards and recipes with intermediate proficiency in culinary functions.

The role requires at least 2 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant kitchen, with fine dining preferred, and ServSafe certification. You should be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays within a 50-mile radius of the hotel.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years culinary experience in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  • Fine dining experience preferred.
  • Advanced knife skills required.
  • Familiar with weights and measures to follow recipes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Learn all menu items produced by the assigned station.
  • Independently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and to company specifications.
  • Identify and inspect all food products for quality.
  • Follow storage procedures for food items in walk-ins and when returning to walk-ins.
  • Safely and properly use all culinary equipment.
  • Demonstrate solid cooking skills and techniques.
  • Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
  • Complete duties to meet required quantities within time constraints.
  • Maintain cleanliness and health standards in walk-in, prep area, and equipment.
  • Attend department trainings and complete other duties as assigned.
