Job summary

1 Hotels Austin is seeking a Cook II to prepare food per recipes and support daily culinary operations. You will ensure ingredients meet quality standards, work under pressure during busy periods, and maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety.

Ideal candidates are organized, able to multitask, and can stand for long periods. A Food Handling certification is preferred or obtained during employment, with varying schedules including holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Lifts at least 50 lbs as part of duties.
• Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment).
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work varying schedules, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipe specifications and ensure daily culinary operations succeed.
• Use high-quality ingredients and maintain restaurant standards during busy periods.
• Work under pressure while upholding safety and sanitation requirements.
• Communicate effectively with Sous Chef and team; help with prep and line checks.
• Maintain logs, assist with recipe updates, and support kitchen maintenance.
