Job summary

The Cook 2 is a member of the Food & Beverage Team at BlueStar Resort & Golf and is responsible for food preparation, cooking, and serving. This role reports to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef and requires mastery of a kitchen station.

Responsibilities include maintaining high service standards, following cleaning schedules, and ensuring timely and quality meal preparation for guests at Trilogy’s venues in Brentwood, California.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.

Responsibilities

• Work and master one kitchen station; take responsibility for personal decisions and actions.
• Ensure superior service standards meet guest and employee requirements.
• Proactively respond to and resolve guest or employee issues.
• Follow cleaning schedule daily to maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Read and follow cooking instructions; read recipes and scales.
• Prepare vegetables and fruits; measure and mix ingredients per recipes.
• Cook and monitor meats, fish, vegetables; adjust oven/steam temperatures.
• Taste and observe foods to ensure quality; plate and garnish as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
