Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in La Quinta, CA is seeking a Cook 4 to join Trilogy at La Quinta's Food & Beverage team. This full-time hourly role reports to the Kitchen Manager and Executive Chef, handling multiple kitchen stations and production.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions.
• Must demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility for actions.
• Must be self-motivated and a team player.
• Must be able to pay attention to multiple details in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work and master all kitchen stations, including plating and/or expeditor.
• Lead kitchen training to teach staff station assignments and standard recipes.
• Cross-train staff and teach different stations.
• Plate all dishes to standard; manage ticket times and food quality.
• Assist in developing weekly and daily specials; ensure superior guest service.
