Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum two years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Ability to think and make independent decisions with sound judgment.
• Must show initiative and be a team player.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Master one kitchen station and take responsibility for actions.
• Ensure service standards meet guest and employee requirements.
• Respond to and resolve guest or employee issues quickly.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules to maintain sanitary environment.
• Read and apply cooking instructions; prepare ingredients for dishes.
• Prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles.
• Cook, bake, roast, broil, and steam foods; manage oven/grill temperatures.
• Taste, smell, and observe food as it cooks.
• Carve meats, portion plates, and garnish dishes to fill orders.
• Other duties as assigned.
