Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is hiring a Cook 1 to join our Food & Beverage team. The role is based in Lincoln, CA, within the Trilogy Bickford Ranch area. The Cook 1 will prepare, cook, and serve meals, adhering to safety standards and recipes, while delivering excellent guest service.

Responsibilities include mastering a kitchen station, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen team. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with competitive hourly pay and eligibility for benefits after

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or equivalent; minimum 1 year cooking in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to speak effectively before groups.

Responsibilities

• Work and master one kitchen station; accept responsibility for personal decisions and actions.
• Ensure superior service standards meet guest and employee expectations.
• Proactive in exceeding guest satisfaction and resolving challenges from guests or employees.
• Follow cleaning schedule daily to maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
• Read and follow cooking instructions; read recipes and prepare ingredients.
• Wash, peel, cut and prepare vegetables and fruits as needed.
• Measure and mix ingredients to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces and casseroles.
• Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables; adjust oven temperatures as required.
• Observe, taste, and test foods during cooking to ensure quality.
• Carve meats, portion servings, and garnish plates; assist with other duties as assigned.
