Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality in Hazel Crest, IL, is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and plate menu items with precision. You will set up line stations (pantry, grill, broiler, sauté, garde manger), follow recipes, and ensure quality while maintaining an organized, sanitary kitchen.

Applicants should have 2+ years of high-volume cooking experience, be able to read English recipes, and pass Serve Safe sanitation training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or in progress with completion within 6 months.
• Two years of high-volume cooking experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow recipes and prep lists in English.
• Serve Safe Sanitation training required.

Responsibilities

• Slice, dice, and chop fruits, vegetables, and proteins.
• Prepare and cook items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Rotate products and maintain sanitation across all kitchen areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report unsafe conditions.
• Keep a clean, organized workstation and follow daily promotions.
