Job summary

Grand Casino Hinckley is seeking a Cook I to support daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, set up stations, and maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

As an entry-level role, you will learn cooking techniques, recipes, and kitchen knowledge while working alongside culinary leadership and experienced staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the Grand Casinos culinary team.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn basic food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
• Desire to learn culinary skills and kitchen operations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, seasoning, portioning, and plating of menu items.
• Set up, stock, and maintain assigned workstations for service readiness.
• Assist with cooking duties including grilling, frying, roasting, baking.
• Monitor food quality and freshness during preparation and service.
• Support daily kitchen production and preparation activities.
