Grand Casino Mille Lacs & Hinckley is seeking a Cook I to join our culinary team. This entry-level role supports daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and station setup in a fast-paced environment, with hands-on training and opportunities to learn cooking techniques.

Responsibilities include following recipes, ensuring food safety, and collaborating with leadership and staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Entry-level culinary role with hands-on experience developing cooking skills.
• ServSafe certification preferred (or obtained within 1 year).
• Must secure and maintain a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference exercised in hiring.

Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations through food preparation and station setup.
• Cook I tasks include grilling, frying, roasting, baking, and plating as directed.
• Maintain food quality and safety standards during preparation and service.
• Assist with buffet setup, events, and cross-station support as needed.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
