DIG INN Chefs-In-Training in Rye Brook, NY is hiring entry-level cooks. $17-$18/hour depending on experience plus $2-3/hour in tips and more benefits.

You will learn in scratch-based kitchens, gain exposure to multiple stations, and develop leadership skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven team. You will prep, cook, and plate using recipes, work across garde manger, grill, roast, and market line, and communicate with guests about menu items.

Qualifications

• Passion for real, good food and desire to learn culinary practices.
• Ability to perform physical requirements (lifting up to 25–50 pounds).
• Strong work ethic and team orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Desire for growth in our brigade.

Responsabilités

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains using recipes as a guide and taste validation.
• Gain exposure to garde manger, grill, roast, market line and other DIG kitchen stations.
• Explain menu offerings, seasonality and ingredients to guests while delivering scratch-made meals.
• Support the team during peak and off-peak service and pitch in as needed.
• Maintain food safety standards and uphold DIG policies.
