Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6+ months related experience or training.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking skills.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and communicate with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Cook and plate food according to production requirements and portion standards.
• Organize daily pull and prep lists.
• Cook and store food at proper temperatures; label, date and rotate products.
• Prepare items from scratch using company recipes.
• Test foods for proper cooking standards by tasting or using devices.
• Maintain safe temperatures on large equipment and monitor safety.
• Keep prep area clean and equipment sanitary.
• Follow safe food handling and hygiene practices.
• Report equipment malfunctions and follow safety protocols.
• Perform opening/closing side duties and other tasks as assigned.
