Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Line Cook to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items for meals and events. You will follow recipes, maintain sanitation, and help ensure high-quality service in a senior living environment.

The role requires a High School diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit, and sanitation knowledge; ServSafe training is a plus. Flexible hours and teamwork with residents and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• State sanitation certificate.
• ServSafe training beneficial.
• 3–4 years of related and advanced food service/cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions.
• Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment and read production sheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and events.
• Maintain high quality, sanitary kitchen practices and safety standards.
• Follow recipes and production sheets; assist with stocking and inventory.
• Plate items with attention to appearance and garnish; support special diets as needed.
• Work with limited supervision and handle multiple tasks in a busy kitchen.
