Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and CovenantCare Home Health and Hospice is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to prepare and present hot and cold items for residents in a senior living/healthcare setting. You will follow standardized recipes, maintain sanitation, and support various meal periods including special events.

The role requires a high school diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit, and preferably ServSafe training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3-4 years of related and advanced food service and cooking experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• Servsafe training is beneficial.
• State sanitation certificate required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and events.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in accordance with regulations and company policy.
• Reads orders, follows recipes, and uses kitchen equipment to prepare foods.
• Prepares and plates foods with attention to appearance and garnish.
• Assists with allergy training and food safety practices.
• Works flexible hours and some holidays as needed.
