Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items for meals and events in a senior living setting. You will follow standardized recipes, ensure high quality and sanitation, and work under supervision to support dietary needs.

Responsibilities include handling orders, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining clean stations. Strong communication and knife skills are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit required.
• ServSafe training beneficial.
• State sanitation certificate.
• 3–4 years of senior living/healthcare kitchen experience.
• Knife skills: intermediate to advanced.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods with short to mid-level prep time.
• May operate grill station and serve customers a la carte.
• Follow recipes and safety guidelines to ensure high quality and sanitation.
• Plate food with attention to appearance and garnish.
• Read orders, prepare food, and manage inventories for production planning.
• Maintain clean, sanitized workstations and assist with safety trainings.
