Job summary

Covenant Living is seeking a Line Cook to prepare, cook and present a variety of hot and cold foods for residents in a senior living environment. You will follow standardized recipes, maintain sanitation, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities include cooking to order, operating kitchen equipment, reading orders, plating with garnish, and attending food safety trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required and a current Food Handler’s Permit.
• State sanitation certificate is required.
• Training in Servsafe is beneficial.
• 3–4 years of related and advanced food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook foods to order with short to mid-level preparation time.
• Operate a grill station and serve at an a la carte setting.
• Follow federal, state, and corporate standards for high-quality food service.
• Read orders and prepare foods according to instructions.
• Maintain high sanitation and safety standards in all duties.
• Plate and garnish dishes to present appealing meals.
• Attend allergy and foodborne illness trainings and apply food safety practices.
