Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a motivated Cook to prepare food items in line with production requirements and quality standards. You will maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen and assist with setting up for service.

Responsibilities include following recipes, rotating stock, and communicating with servers. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. This is an on-site position within a Crescent property.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Ability to work well with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over preparing.
• Date and rotate perishables; keep temperatures safe.
• Check pars, determine prep needs and line setup; assist with buffet.
• Return unused items to storage with proper cover/date labeling.
• Help control food costs and reduce waste per Crescent standards.
• Operate and clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixer, slicer, oven, kettle and grill.
• Follow attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
