Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts seeks a dedicated kitchen associate to prepare food to Crescent standards in a hotel setting. You will follow recipes, manage portions, and ensure food safety throughout service hours.

You will start prepped items, date and rotate perishables, and maintain equipment cleanliness while supporting team members to keep buffet and station readiness high. Excellent English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over prepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate per Crescent standards, keeping perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup; note out-of-stock items.
• Return unused food to designated storage areas and cover/date perishables.
• Assist in correcting food cost problems and reducing waste per Crescent standards.
• Operate, maintain and clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
