Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You will contribute to every plate with focus, consistency, and pride in a fast-paced, team-driven setting.

You’ll be part of extensive training and development, with opportunities to grow as we expand. The role emphasizes quality, timing, and guest satisfaction, while maintaining safety and strong station discipline.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 35 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset and positive working relationships.
• Reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
