Job summary

Torchy’s is hiring Line Cooks for Fry, Grill, Sauté, Steam and Taco stations in a fast‑paced, high‑volume Austin area kitchen. You’ll prepare ingredients, cook to recipe standards, and keep a clean, organized station while collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure quality and timely service.

Requirements include Food Handler certification, the ability to stand for hours, and physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification.
• Certification(s) must be obtained by your first day or within the timeline required by your location.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Open to varied work schedules and hours based on your restaurant’s needs.
• Must be able to stand for several hours.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and prep across fry, grill, sauté and steam stations according to Torchy’s recipes and standards.
• Quality control of presentation and taste before serving.
• Maintain a clean, organized work station and uphold food-safety standards.
• Collaborate with BOH teammates to ensure timely, correct food preparation.
• Assist with inventory and stocking to support service.
