HMSHost is hiring a Cook CD – Standard to join our Birmingham, AL kitchen team. You will prepare foods across multiple stations, communicate ticket times to managers and servers, and maintain high service quality. This is a non-exempt, on-site role reporting to store management.

The ideal candidate has basic food prep skills, knowledge of HACCP standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting; lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in following recipes and HACCP standards.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policies.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for long periods.
• Experience in high-volume or fast-c casual dining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and cook food items per directions.
• Monitor production, estimate needs, and requisition supplies.
• Sanitize workstations and equipment to ensure safety.
• Operate kitchen equipment and measure ingredients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
