Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Cook to join our team in a high-volume casual dining setting. You will prepare a variety of foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs while ensuring timely communication with the manager and servers.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining HACCP standards, and sustaining quality and safety. You will lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience in high-volume casual dining.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents; communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare items across stations (Fry, Flat Top, Pantry, Eggs).
• Communicate ticket times and potential issues to the manager and servers.
• Ensure high quality service to customers and associates at all times.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation per HACCP standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients as directed.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check product temperatures.
