Job summary

Ellis Island Casino is seeking a Line Cook to prepare menu items and follow recipes set by the Kitchen Manager. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently, from stocking stations to plating dishes and coordinating with servers to ensure timely service.

The candidate should have basic knife skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong English communication. This role requires standing for long periods and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Basic knife skills required.
• Must be 21+ and able to obtain Nevada Health Card.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good English language comprehension, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
• Prepare food including cleaning, cutting ingredients, cooking appetizers, snacks, mains and desserts.
• Plate prepared foods according to Kitchen Manager guidance.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure timely order completion.
• Wash and clean kitchen equipment and store using after shifts.
