Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Durham, NC is seeking a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You will focus on consistency, speed, and pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen, working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

You’ll read tickets, set up and stock your station, plate with care, and uphold food safety and clean practices. We offer extensive training, growth opportunities with new store openings, and benefits for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to maintain a guest-oriented mindset.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
