Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Winston-Salem is hiring a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where speed, accuracy, and teamwork drive the plate from kitchen to guest.

You’ll set up and stock your station, read tickets, plate with care, monitor temperatures, and maintain cleanliness. We provide extensive training, benefits for eligible staff, flexible schedules, and opportunities for advancement as we grow.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
