Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Oklahoma City is seeking a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You will prepare, cook, and plate dishes with speed, accuracy, and presentation.

We offer extensive training in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment, with opportunities for advancement. You should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards. Apply in person or online.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to be patient and have a guest-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
