Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is hiring a full-time line cook in New York for a fast-paced venue. The role requires preparing hot and cold dishes to Tao standards and maintaining a clean, well-stocked workstation.

You will follow recipes precisely, manage mise en place with FIFO, and communicate effectively with chefs and teammates while meeting health and safety guidelines. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year line cook experience or equivalent Tao Group Hospitality experience.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all restaurant foods, hot and cold, and work in all aspects of food preparation.
• Follow recipes to Tao standards and maintain station cleanliness and sanitation.
• Accurately takes orders from POS and directions from expeditor.
• Set up and close stations, stock supplies, and perform FIFO-based mise en place.
• Communicate product needs to chefs and support staff; work as part of a team.
• Attend daily pre-service meetings and training sessions.
