Job summary

Improper Pig is seeking a Line Chef to join our kitchen team in Charlotte, NC. You will be responsible for preparing food items to spec at your station, maintaining proper stock and FIFO inventory, and supporting daily kitchen operations.

The role includes training responsibilities, collaboration with both FOH and BOH teams, and participation in ongoing restaurant training and events to ensure quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required.
• Background check required.
• Willingness to cross-train and train others.
• Learner/Coachable and motivated to perform.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items to spec at assigned station and maintains FIFO practices.
• Performs daily prep, stocking, health inspection checklists, safety, line checks and sanitation.
• Assists in training kitchen team members.
• Communicates facility repairs and needs.
• Maintains positive relationships across FOH and BOH teams.
• Participates in ongoing restaurant training and events.
