Job summary

TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas is seeking a Line Cook to responsibly prepare quality food, follow brand standards, and maintain safe kitchen operations. You will report emergencies, uphold recipes, and assist with menu knowledge.

The role requires prior line cook experience, HS diploma with culinary training, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as line cook or similar culinary role preferred.
• High school education with culinary arts training.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Able to work well under pressure and meet timing requirements.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Team-oriented work environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: prepare and portion ingredients for various dishes following recipes and guidelines.
• Cooking: grill a diverse range of menu items with precision and attention to detail.
• Station Setup: set up the cooking station with necessary tools and ingredients before service.
• Timing/Coordination: coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure components are ready together.
• Quality Control: inspect ingredients and dishes for quality, taste and appearance.
• Food Safety Compliance: follow sanitation practices to prevent cross-contamination.
• Menu Knowledge: understand menu offerings and assist with updates.
• Cleaning/Maintenance: keep station clean and organized.
