Job summary

First Hospitality is seeking a Line Cook to support high-quality guest dining under the guidance of the Executive and Sous Chefs. You will prepare food to spec, maintain safety standards, and work efficiently to meet service times in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role requires 1+ years of culinary experience and a High School diploma or equivalent, with strong communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. This is an on-site hotel position in Des Moines, IA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistently high quality by following recipes and instructions.
• Follow all food safety standards by date marking, rotation, and proper holding temperatures.
• Initiate preparation of food items based on anticipated needs.
• Store all food products properly during and after use.
• Assist in food control standards to reduce waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, mixers, ovens, etc.
• Clean and maintain all equipment and working area.
• Support team members and maintain professionalism according to brand standards.
