Job summary

Raines Co. is seeking a professional Cook to set up, cook, and maintain quality in a fast-paced hotel kitchen. The role requires strict adherence to health guidelines and menu standards, with strong emphasis on safety certifications and teamwork.

Responsibilities include stocking, portioning, plating, and supporting inventory control. Two years’ related experience and a high school diploma are preferred, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in hotels, restaurants or related fields.
• Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agencies.
• Prior Line Cook, Quick Order Cook, Banquet Cook or similar experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock and organize workstation for production of food items.
• Prepare, thaw, cut and store food items according to menu standards.
• Use knives, measuring utensils, scales, and other kitchen tools safely.
• Check stock levels and report shortages using FIFO method.
• Prepare items to order with correct temperatures and plating standards.
• Plate food with garnishments; perform cleaning, inventory and organizing duties.
• Remain calm and productive in stressful, high-pressure situations.
