Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our fast-paced, high-quality kitchen. The hotel handles large-scale banquets and events alongside our restaurant, Venture Kitchen & Bar.

The ideal candidate will have experience on a busy line, execute recipes with skill and consistency, and collaborate effectively with a dynamic team. Responsibilities include timely dish execution, maintaining a clean prep station, supporting daily prep, and adhering to food

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum two years culinary experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Previous experience in a high‑volume/upscale kitchen preferred.
  • Experience in scratch cooking, soup, and sauce‑making strongly preferred.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our fast‑paced, high‑quality kitchen. Our full‑service hotel features large‑scale banquets and events alongside our renowned restaurant, Venture Kitchen & Bar. The ideal candidate has experience facilitating a busy line, executing recipes with skill and consistency, and working effectively as part of a collaborative and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executes dishes to specification with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintains a clean, organized and well‑prepped station.
  • Supports daily prep and production needs.
  • Communicates clearly with the kitchen team during service.
  • Follows all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment including flat‑top, grill, sauté, and prep stations.
  • Food safety standards and sanitation practices.
Skills and Ability
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time‑management skills, with the ability to perform efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail in recipe execution, operational procedures, and presentation for both plated and buffet items.
  • Adapt quickly to changing business levels, group events, and special requests.
  • Demonstrate strong knife skills and proficiency in fundamental cooking techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Maintain composure and efficiency during busy service.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional, courteous, constructive relationships with guests, staff and management team.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum two years culinary experience in a commercial kitchen required.

  • Experience in scratch cooking, soup, and sauce‑making strongly preferred.
Licenses

Rate of Pay
  • $20.96 - $23.41 per hour/DOE + Tips

Physical Requirements

Medium Work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Position requires the ability to exert well‑paced mobility to move around the kitchen area on a continuous basis and to maintain a standing position for long periods of time throughout the shift. Visual acuity to analyze written information. Ability to express or exchange information by means of spoken word. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting and repetitive hand and wrist movements. Manual dexterity to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
