Job summary

Tribute Eatery & Bar in Coralville, IA is seeking Line Cooks to join the kitchen team. Part-time positions with daytime and weekend shifts; earn $15-$22 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or another restaurant kitchen position is preferred.
• Able to stay focused and organized while working at a steady pace.
• Dependable and willing to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and recipes according to established standards.
• Set up and stock your station before and during service.
• Cook menu items using grills, fryers, broilers, sauté stations, and other kitchen equipment.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and preparation procedures.
• Check food for consistent quality and presentation.
• Label, rotate, store, and handle food properly.
• Keep station and surrounding kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Replenish ingredients and supplies during shift.
• Complete assigned food storage, cleaning, and inventory tasks.
• Communicate with cooks and leadership to keep service running smoothly.
• Assist with prep, line cooking, and other kitchen needs.

Looking for a kitchen position where you can stay active, build your skills, and work alongside a dependable team? We're adding Line Cooks to our kitchen crew at Tribute Eatery & Bar.

Tribute is a neighborhood restaurant serving elevated comfort food alongside handcrafted cocktails in a welcoming, energetic atmosphere. Behind every great guest experience is a kitchen team that works together to prepare quality food, keep service moving, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Compensation

$15 - $22 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

Depending on the needs of the kitchen, you'll spend your shift preparing ingredients, setting up your station, cooking menu items, and helping the team stay ready for service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing assigned food storage, cleaning, and inventory tasks
• Communicating with cooks, kitchen leadership, and other team members to keep service running smoothly
• Jumping in to assist with prep, line cooking, and other kitchen needs
• Completing additional responsibilities as assigned

What Will Help You Succeed

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in another restaurant kitchen position is preferred
• Able to stay focused and organized while working at a steady pace
• Dependable and willing to work as part of a team
• Comfortable communicating with kitchen teammates and leadership
• Open to feedback, learning new tasks, and helping in different areas of the kitchen
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods
• Able to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
