Job summary

Iowa Athletic Club in Coralville, IA is seeking cooks to join our scratch-made kitchen. Work with fresh ingredients, in a busy, supportive team, and grow your cooking skills whether you’re experienced or just starting out.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous restaurant or cooking experience is preferred.
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock kitchen stations with ingredients, equipment, and supplies before service.
• Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, portioning, mixing, and preparing sauces.
• Cook and prepare menu items using grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and other cooking methods.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food quality standards.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas throughout each shift.
• Assist with cleaning, inventory, food storage, and closing responsibilities.
• Work closely with kitchen leaders and teammates to keep service running efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Iowa Athletic Club is a made-from-scratch restaurant and sports bar in Coralville, IA, and we're looking for Cooks to join our team!

At Iowa Athletic Club, our kitchen focuses on scratch-made food prepared with quality and consistency. You'll work alongside a team that keeps things moving during busy shifts while supporting one another and taking pride in the food we serve.

Compensation:

$15 - $22 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule:

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Open availability across shifts, with the greatest need for nights and weekends
