Job summary

Tribute Eatery & Bar in Ankeny, IA is seeking Line Cooks to join our busy kitchen team. We prep, set up stations, and cook menu items with grills, fryers, and sauté stations while maintaining quality and organization.

You’ll follow recipes, label and store food properly, and communicate with the team to keep service smooth. We offer competitive pay ($15–$22/hour based on experience), full- and part-time opportunities, and benefits such as PTO, medical/dental/vision options, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous restaurant kitchen or line cook experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to stand and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and recipes needed for daily service.
• Set up and stock station with food, supplies, and equipment.
• Cook menu items using grills, fryers, sauté stations, broilers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and established quality standards.
• Maintain consistent food preparation throughout service.
• Label, rotate, store, and handle food properly.
• Keep stations and equipment clean and organized.
• Complete cleaning, stocking, inventory, and food storage tasks.
• Communicate with kitchen leaders and teammates during shifts.
• Support prep and line operations based on kitchen needs.

Tribute Eatery & Bar in Ankeny, IA is hiring Line Cooks to join our kitchen team.

We're looking for dependable people who enjoy working in a busy restaurant kitchen and take pride in preparing quality food. Our kitchen team supports everything from daily prep and station setup to cooking menu items during service.

Tribute Eatery & Bar is a neighborhood restaurant serving elevated comfort food, handcrafted cocktails, and memorable dining experiences. Our kitchen team works together to prepare quality food, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and keep service running smoothly.

Pay

$15 - $22 per hour based on experience.

Schedule & Availability

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Sunday availability is required
• Scheduling is based on restaurant needs and individual availability

What You'll Do

• Complete assigned cleaning, stocking, inventory, and food storage tasks
• Communicate with kitchen leaders and teammates throughout the shift
• Support prep and line operations based on the needs of the kitchen
• Complete other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous restaurant kitchen, prep cook, or line cook experience is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team
