Job summary

Iowa Athletic Club in Coralville, IA, is seeking Cooks to join a busy, scratch-made kitchen. You’ll work with a team focused on quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction, with opportunities to grow your cooking skills and stay active.

We offer compensation ranging from $15 to $22 per hour, depending on experience, with full-time and part-time positions and evening/weekend shifts in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Restaurant or cooking experience preferred.
• Dependable and able to work well in a kitchen team.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock kitchen stations before service.
• Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, portioning, mixing, and making sauces.
• Cook and prepare menu items using grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and other methods.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food quality standards.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas during shifts.
• Assist with cleaning, inventory, storage, and closing tasks.
• Collaborate with kitchen leaders to keep service running smoothly.

Job description

Iowa Athletic Club is a made-from-scratch restaurant and sports bar in Coralville, IA, and we're looking for Cooks to join our team!

If you enjoy working in a busy kitchen, preparing food with fresh ingredients, and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you. At Iowa Athletic Club, our kitchen focuses on scratch-made food prepared with quality and consistency. You'll work alongside a team that keeps things moving during busy shifts while supporting one another and taking pride in the food we serve.

Compensation: $15 - $22 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule:

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Open availability across shifts, with the greatest need for nights and weekends

Full-Time Benefits

(Available to employees averaging 30+ hours per week)

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous restaurant or cooking experience is preferred
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a kitchen team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Ability to stand and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
