Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Bowling Green, OH seeks an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer with CDL preferred to join our utility team serving Northwestern OH. This full-time, outdoor role offers hands-on pruning, tree removal and operating climbing systems across Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

You’ll work with a crew on safety-driven jobs for major electric utilities. Valid driver’s license is required; CDL-A or B with air brake is a plus.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using approved systems and work with a ground crew.
• Perform pruning and removal for major electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and lifts.
• Operate as an active crew member with foreperson supervision.
• Your growth depends on effort.
