Job summary

Colonial Group in Brockton, MA seeks a Recertification Specialist for Chatham West I & II to manage all phases of the recertification process with LIHTC experience.

You will interview residents, collect income data, calculate rents, run EIV reports, and coordinate with subsidy partners to ensure accurate, compliant lease charges while maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Two years of Occupancy or Recertification experience in affordable housing desirable.
• Knowledge of subsidy regulations including Project Based Section 8 and LIHTC.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process all recertifications for the property.
• Build relationships with residents and coordinate all phases of recertification: interviews, processing, and documentation.
• Use property management software to track dates and send notifications.
• Prepare annual/biennial recertification document packets.
• Interview residents to collect income, assets and eligibility data.
• Determine rent and program eligibility based on subsidy rules.
• Run EIV reports and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with subsidy partners to ensure proper charges are entered in software.
• Provide backup support to Occupancy Specialist as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and deliver high-quality customer service.
