Related Affordable is seeking an Occupancy and Recertification Specialist to manage certifications, rent calculations, and resident documentation in our affordable housing portfolio. You will ensure compliance with LIHTC and HUD guidelines while delivering exceptional resident service.

The role emphasizes high-volume, deadline-driven work, accuracy, and teamwork across sites, with opportunities for professional growth and competitive benefits. LIHTC knowledge is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of experience in affordable housing and leasing.
• HS Diploma/GED (bachelor’s preferred).
• Review and interpret financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, and rent.
• Certification in COS, TCS, or other affordable housing compliance training preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with property management software (RealPage, OneSite, Yardi).
• Strong financial, organizational, and critical thinking.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build trust with teams.
• Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environments.

Aufgaben

• Process certifications (initial, interim, and annual) and compute retroactive rent per HUD guidelines.
• Collect required documentation from residents and process verifications.
• Apply correct rents for annual and interim recertification and ensure compliance.
• Explain rent calculations and prepare repayment agreements.
• Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.
