Related Affordable is seeking an Occupancy and Recertification Specialist to manage LIHTC-based certifications and rent calculations for residents in our affordable housing portfolio. You will process certifications, verify income documentation, and ensure compliance with HUD guidelines while delivering excellent resident service.

The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• LIHTC policies and procedures knowledge required.
• Detail oriented with deadline-driven schedule.
• 2–4 years leasing experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide preeminent affordable housing accommodations in the community.
• Create welcoming experience and sense of community through daily resident interactions.
• Process initial, interim, and annual certifications; calculate retroactive rent per HUD guidelines.
• Collect documentation and process verifications from residents.
• Apply rents for annual/interim recertification and ensure compliance.
• Explain rent calculations and prepare rent repayment agreements per HUD guidelines.
• Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Complete tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision in a high-volume environment.
• Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.
