Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a LIHTC Development Consultant to advise affordable housing developers on LIHTC transactions, from feasibility to closing, exercising independent judgment while mentoring staff.

You will lead strategy, applications, and financial modeling, while coordinating with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies. Strong communication and multi-state LIHTC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field and at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Preferred CPA, MBA, MRED, JD, or similar credential.
• Multi-state 9% and 4% LIHTC experience.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program, including 9% and 4% transactions, QAPs, and state housing agency processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIHTC development strategy, feasibility analysis, and capital stack structuring.
• Advise on 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions.
• Evaluate underwriting assumptions, risks, and structuring alternatives.
• Manage client pipeline planning and long-term LIHTC strategy.
• Direct preparation and review of LIHTC applications under QAPs.
